1 - Asuka's room was originally Shinji's room. When she moved in, he got kicked out and into the storage closet across the hall.

2 - During synch training, they slept in the living room. The "Wall of Jericho" is the door to Misato's room.

This image is from one of the official Gainax licensed NGE games, probably the "Shinji Ikari Raising Project" game.

Very short synopsis: it's the Happy Rei Eating Toast world, not the GRIMDARK(tm) giant robot Ragnarok world. Shinji is a normal schoolkid, though for some reason NERV does exist, but Yui is alive and in normal human form. Misato is a cheerful alcoholic teacher at the school Shinji attends.

The game is about his wacky harem-comedy life. Mana Kirishima is in it. I can't recall whether Mayumi Yamagishi shows up. Over time depending on your in-game choices he can end up hooking up with Rei, Asuka, Mana, Ritsuko, any of three formerly-nameless bridge bunnies created for this game, Misato, or Kaworu. I can't recall whether Maya Ibuki is a possible choice for him.

Anyway, any resemblance to Love Hina is strictly coincidental, and certain people at this board appear to hate the artwork.
